GET KATE'S CLASSIC SAFARI STYLE
No one nails the timeless, classic look like the Princess of Wales. When flying off for your safari of a lifetime you want to be sure that looking back on the photos in 20 years time your won’t cringe at what you’re wearing.
Kate and William were visiting Bhutan in 2016 in these images but it could have been as recently as last month. Here we breakdown one of Kate’s iconic looks from some of our favourite country clothing brands. The clothing is gorgeous as well as being practical. You’ll stay chic, dry, comfortable and have excellent pockets for storing phones and cameras while you take off galloping across the savannah somewhere!
GILET / LEATHER WAISTCOAT:
Kate wore her Really Wild Clothing olive green Nubuck Waistcoat. The piece is olive green leather with a three-button front, deep pockets and an adjustable waist.
The waistcoat is £495, roughly US$600. You can save 15% off by entering the discount code that appears when you click here. Search Nubeck Waistcoat.
PURE LINEN BLOUSE
Kate’s blouse is discontinued but this beautiful 100% linen shirt from British brand Reiss is a great dupe. Crafted in a lightweight linen for a cool and comfortable wear with a loose fit and long sleeves with a full-button close and traditional point collar.
Perfect for keeping you protected from the sun but still cool in hot climates. Quick drying for the times you spend splashing through the Okavango Delta or wading across rivers in Patagonia. RRP £98.
GREEN RIDING TROUSERS
We haven’t identified where Kate’s jeans are from - and we do believe jeans make great safari riding trousers.
An excellent substitute are these full seat breeches from Swedish brand Aisling Equestrian.
Modelled here by Eloise Stephenson. RRP £159.
PENELOPE CHILVERS LONG TASSEL BOOT
The boots Kate has been wearing over and over again for 13+ years! Penelope Chilver’s Tassel Boots in sustainably sourced Spanish leather are the epitome of luxury.
These handmade boots are partially lined in deerskin with a Goodyear Welt rubber tread sole. Perfectly styled and wonderfully practical – these boots are made to last.
As they’re leather remember to break them in before you head on safari! RRP £375-£475.
RAY BAN STORIES CAMERA GLASSES
Smart glasses that allow you to film hands free in 1080p resolution. We LOVE these glasses. They’re perfect for filming while galloping or handling a complicated horse with two tiny inbuilt cameras.
Operate the glasses hands-free using voice control. The best part? They have audio too and you can use them in place of headphones. You can even have WhatsApp messages read to you! Ray Ban Stories RRP around $299.
